After the Heart

After the Heart is a dark abstract work shaped by charcoal black, burnt umber and weathered copper. Scratches, erosion and layered marks obscure a familiar form beneath the surface.

At first, only scale and symmetry emerge. Two broad curves rise through the darkness before narrowing into a central point. Gradually, the structure reveals itself — a heart, weathered and transformed by everything that appears to have passed across it.

Rather than a symbol of romance, the work suggests something that remains: altered, marked, but still present.
