The rush has disappeared. What remains is the equipment, the reflections and a carafe of freshly brewed coffee.

AFTER THE POUR uses deep black and white to turn an everyday coffee station into a study of light and form. Stainless steel catches narrow highlights while the glass carafe emerges from the darker surroundings, still covered in traces of the brewing process.

The wider composition gives the photograph a stronger sense of place while keeping the pour-over ritual at its centre.
