ASH VIII closes the series in near darkness. The figure turns away, leaving the illuminated profile and curved line of the back to carry almost the entire composition.

Small traces and fine markings appear across the face, neck and shoulder before dissolving into black.

The image initially reads as silhouette and surface; only gradually does the human presence become dominant.
