PASTRY finds its composition in repetition.

Small individual cakes stretch through the frame, each topped with a single dark berry. Selective focus allows individual details to emerge while the remaining forms gradually dissolve into the surrounding scene.

Despite the richness of the subject, the restrained tonal treatment keeps the photograph closer to editorial still life than traditional food photography.

Within a gallery wall, PASTRY introduces rhythm and darker contrast, pairing naturally with simpler compositions of coffee, bread and kitchen objects. Displayed independently at a larger size, the repeated forms create an almost abstract photographic pattern.

The result is less about dessert itself and more about craft, repetition and the small visual details found behind a bakery counter.
