A familiar silhouette emerges from a rain-soaked night. Reflections, soft streetlights and wet metal turn an automotive icon into something closer to a cinematic still.

THE ARRIVAL captures the front of a classic Porsche 356 after dark, its curved bodywork covered in rain and illuminated by the soft glow of the city.

Rather than presenting the car as a polished collector object, the composition places it inside an atmosphere. The headlight, windshield and unmistakable lines appear gradually from the darkness while blurred lights disappear into the background.

The monochrome treatment gives the image the character of archival street photography — quiet, imperfect and slightly mysterious.
